Zambia's Insurance & Pensions Regulator

The Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) is a statutory body established under the Pension Scheme Regulation Act No. 28 of 1996 and the Insurance Act No. 27 of 1997, responsible for regulating and supervising the pensions and insurance industries in Zambia.

PIA's mandate is to protect the interests of pension scheme members and insurance policyholders through effective regulation, supervision, and market development.

Write to Your Insurer First

Contact your insurance company or pension fund directly and give them a chance to resolve the issue.

Submit Your Complaint to PIA

If unsatisfied with the response, file a complaint online through our portal or visit our office with supporting documents.

PIA Investigates & Resolves

PIA will acknowledge your complaint within 3 days and investigate within 10 business days per Regulation 19.
